The design of these versatile road boxes proved extremely complex.
At first, the plan was sent to different manufacturers here in the UK and also in China and elsewhere. It turned out either that the construction was going to cost a fortune or was too complicated for other professional flight case builders that declined the demand. Result, after months of talks, discussions, false promises, payment of instalments and enormous difficulties to recover the sums paid, Philippe decided to build himself the said specialised road boxes.
It was a challenge because the building of ordinary road boxes is already not easy for any amateur, but the precise and intricate design of these custom boxes seriously complicated the task. Anyway, the construction could not wait, and all the necessary material was bought, and the crazy work began.

The garage could no longer contain all the pieces of the puzzle and quickly the kitchen, and the corridor would serve as additional space. It was necessary to cut the panels, to sand, to adjust, to pierce, to coat, to pre-paint and to begin assembling, riveting, painting, inserting the accessories, etc.
Once the boxes were assembled, the corridor and the kitchen had become insufficient, and the dining room and the living room were used to arrange the different parts of the boxes pending final assembly. In short, little by little, the whole house had become a big warehouse.
